NTN Bearings since 1918

The NTN Company started when backer, Noboru Niwa, his sales company, Tomoe Trading Co., and engineer Jiro Nishizono, joined together in designing and manufacturing the first NTN ball bearings, in 1918. From that point on, the NTN Bearing Corporation of America was incepted in 1963. This new head supported the local sales of NTN bearings in the American region. At this point, NTN was proficient in the production of ball bearings, spherical, tapered, cylindrical, needle roller bearings, and automotive constant velocity joints.

NTN has been an industry elite and reputable chief in OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) bearing products for some of the largest brands names in the automotive market. They hold the prime share of the worldwide market for axle bearings, which are critical automotive components that allow wheel axles to turn. Through NTN’s local community, as well as their global network, they are insistent in producing huge capabilities in development, engineering, product validation, and management. NTN’s devotion to high standards has earned the company numerous awards for quality from clients, such as, Caterpillar, Ford Motor Company, Detroit Diesel, Navistar International Corporation, Twin Disc, and Clark-Hurth. Presently, NTN is operating in over 50 facilities globally and are the third largest bearing producer, in the world.
