Founded in 1958 by Walter Hengst, the Hengst corporation has been in the automotive industry for over fifty years and during that time they’ve developed special relationships with Mercedes-Benz and Porsche. Today, Hengst is under the direction of Walter’s grandson, Jens Rottgering and goes by the new name of Hengst SE & Co. KG. They are responsible for a wide array of fluid management systems and is OEM (original equipment manufacturer) for several car makes. For example, Hengst produces the fluid management module for Mercedes-Benz and an oil mist separator for Porsche. Hengst is also known for their high quality air and oil filters, as well as their crankcase ventilation systems. Founded during a time of many new beginnings and developments, the company kept pace with the constantly developing and fast- growing automotive industry. This was the core business back then and it still is today.
