Description
Product Description:
Always inspect your electric water pump for leaks and unusual sounds, does not include aluminum screws in packaging
The common failure signs for this new style electric water pump are coolant leaks and whining noises in the area from the water pump. Unlike a standard water pump that is belt driven, these never electric water pumps don’t show symptoms of potential failure. We strongly suggest that you replace the water pump before a complete failure which may lead to an overheated and damaged motor.
Engine Water Pump
Your vehicles engine water pump is responsible for keeping coolant flowing through the engine. As water pumps get old the internal bearing can go bad causing noise and a coolant leak. A good indicator that your water pump is failing is if you see coolant leaking through the water pump “weep hole”.
Vehicle Repairs. We’ve Got What It Takes.
In the combustion engine, a large part of the energy contained in the fuel is converted into heat. To prevent the engine from overheating and causing serious damage to the mechanics, the engine cooling system must effectively dissipate this heat into the environment. Part of the heat transported by the cooling system is used to raise the temperature inside the vehicle as required.
Quality by Conviction
In order to reliably ensure the circulation of the coolant over a long period of time, water pumps must be robust and durable.
Everything for Professional Repair
When replacing the water pump, the surrounding components should also be checked for wear. This applies in particular to the timing belt which drives the water pump and is susceptible to deformation and hardening as the service life increases.
Engine Water Pump Failure Symptoms
- Coolant leak through weep hole
- Play at water pump pulley shaft indicating a bad bearing
- Squeaking noise coming from pump at idle
- Overheating conditions
- Low coolant light on instrument cluster indicating a cooling system leak
